No, Islam isn't the problem at all.Imagine an entire planet where all believed in Islam and enjoyed the "benefits" of Sharia law" Wouldn't it be wonderful, for men anyway.
Women? Mere chattels who are to obey a man in everything they do. Either live with their parents or get married, maybe at 12 years old. Enjoy the latest fashions in brown or black head to toe robes plus a veil.What choice! Unless, of course, the man insists on one over the other.
They also get to do whatever a man decides they should do, anytime at all. Great to not have to think for yourself. Men get to go out and gossip at the local mosque and arrange whatever they arrange. They don't need to tell women anything.
