Hi Y'all,
I thought I'd try a religious Community for a change and so chose "Religious Discussion".
Immediately I found two people ignorantly and arrogantly attacking everything I wrote.A guy called "Rob" is the main moderator I understand. You should see his list of rules. He couldn't possibly remember them all, let alone someone new.
I must also say that not once did either of them mention religion as such, but fired questions and criticism at me. Very sad as my intent was simply to "Discuss Religion". Seemingly what that Community wanted of members. But no.Same old, same old, bullying, attacks, criticism and more.
There's a woman there named Rua who criticised my relating how I became atheist. Her words were "So all you did was swap one cemented belief for another". Bit difficult given I never had a belief in God, or any deity.
To me atheism is knowledge, you KNOW there is no God. If you have any other view you are either agnostic or a believer. So I kept asking her what her position was. She eventually replied and was so unclear it was obvious it was SHE who had tried to take up a concreted belief system. Atheism isn't a belief system you see. It's just knowledge.
As she refused to do so I eventually told her to fuck off and THEN she stated her view. She said "I don't believe there are any (deities). Now think about her words. She says "I don't believe" which is entirely different from "I know there are no deities".
In other words she doesn't know either way so she must be grouped as an agnostic.
She just wrote me a note saying I had been banned. Shit I've been trying to get banned for over a week!!! Who wants nitpicking hypocrites who have no idea what their opinion really is on a Community you just wanted to look through really.
