Hi Y'all,
Doesn't the world of "fashion" fascinate you?
It amazes me actually. The focus of fashion is on those events where models walk cross legged down a catwalk to whatever sound the designer fancies on the day. Women in particular wear the most ridiculous items you'll ever see. And I guarantee you that you will NEVER see by far the majority of those insane combinations of partial clothing in public.
Who would ever buy what they display in those events. I've never seen anything like what they prance up and down the catwalk wearing. Have you? No, you haven't.
I really have NO IDEA what those events are supposed to achieve, but it is NOT sales. Yet every designer pays a model or more large sums to be the "face" of their clothing. Why? They are never seen walking around in that designer's clothing, in fact they are NEVER seen at all, except in the media.
Ah, fashion, it's all BULLSHIT, as usual is it not?
Throughout history males have worn various items around their necks, but never ties. That dreadful thin strip of material designed to choke and restrict you. Do you know where the idea of ties actually began? No, you don't.
It was actually in the Boer War when they started mandating this item for all British soldiers for one reason. They had gone to war without thought of the climate there and most soldiers were cold. So they directed them to button the collars of their shirts to the top and add a "tie". And men have worn them ever since. Not this man, but most. How the fuck is that supposed to keep soldiers warm anyway? It's a placebo I'd suggest, being told it will keep you warm is enough to make you feel warmer. Right.
One other thing that is so fashionable these days that every man and his dog do it. That is they wear shirts OUT. IE. not tucked in as was the fashion in decades past.
Why is that fashion today?
You're going to laugh but it was started by groups of males who simply left their shirts out as they were a tad overweight and an untucked shirt hides it. I was but one of those fashion leaders. Been doing it for 40 years now.
Stupid is as stupid does.
