Hi Y'all,
Well we are well into the Australian seasons of football now. AFL, Rugby League and Super Rygby are all off and running. Super Rugby is already headings towards the end of their season.
The English Premier League is about to wrap up and NFL is warming up, not far away, I can't wait. Plenty of gossip and rumours on NFL sites about whop's going where and who's being cut and so on. The big news really is that Peyton Manning has retired. Many say FINALLY, but he has been the mainstay of the NFL for nigh on twenty years. I bet on any team he was leading and it was a good move, having won the Super Bowl last season, ending in January 3 months ago nearly.
The new NFL season will be something new without Peyton. Brady is still there at the Patriots so they will be favourite for most. But what is going be be new and hot early on. There's always some teams that get out of the blocks fast and stay there. Who will they be this coming season? I'm leaning towards Seattle to return but the Broncos without Peyton? Not likely although their defence is outstanding.
In Australia the Rugby League is dominated so far by last year's grand finalists. Broncos and Cowboys. I like the Cowboys of the two as they have started this year way better than last year and they won that title. My team, the Roosters, have been decimated by guys leaving, long term injury and the disgusting behaviour of Mitchell Pearce. I don't see him lasting long if they bring him back. The whole team was shattered by his dumass drinking etc. and they will not be keen to fit him ion as they have just won their first game last week and are coming on well without him. They will improve but are not a chance, just a nuisance to others this year. I say give Pearce the flick and stick with players who are worth standing by. He's not.
The AFL is pretty open so far. West Coast look pretty good and Hawthorn always keepo grinding, they just won on the weekend but were less than impressive. Fremantle have yet to win a game and nobody seems to know what's wrong with them.
Super Rugby?y have new teams in the comp from Argentina, Japan and a new SOuth African team, the Kings, who have been in and out of SUper Rugby. The NZ tea=ms look the best, as usual with the Chiefs showing up early, again.
The EPL this season has been all about Leicester and deservedly so. They are on top and look to have it won. 5 games to go!!! And Leicester have NEVER won a title before. It's good to see a team out of the big money teams doing so well.
