Well well. So Turnbull is a complete idiot we now find.
On Friday the Premiers rejected his ridiculous thought bubble of taking on the power to raise their own taxes.
It's obvious that such a scenario would soon tear Australia apart as each State develps different taxation levels on income. We'd end up with 8 different rates and people would certainly move to escape the higher taxing States.
So they rejected it, preferring to stay with things as they have been since WW2 ended.
Today, Turnbull has made extremely childish claims and threats in regard to this. He stated that, as the States don't want to raise the tax themselves, that they can no longer approach the Commonwealth for such.
Can you believe that? He's basically trying to disband the Federation and force States to create separate environments.
I cannot believe how flimsy this gambit was and is. Even Abbott apparently refused this sort of an arrangement saying it was bad news. Today he wouldn't comment. Gee, I wonder why? NOT.
