Hi there,
Grand Final Day at last. Long wait for supporters of either team.
I really do not know how the Bulldogs got there, an accident of the draw I think. They were NOT one of the best two teams this year and do not deserve a place in the Grand Final.
The Bunnies a raging hot favourites and have been building towards this for several years and now have their chance at the ultimate reward. A Grand Final win.
I cannot see the Bulldogs getting close to the Bunnies but the absence of Luke does actually make a huge difference. Somewhat mitigated as the Bulldogs have lost their hooker as well. Much as I dislike Ennis and his constant cheating he is without doubt one the the players who gains most ground and advantage for his team. I just do not know why referees allow him to get away with what he does.
I recall the 1969 NRL Grand Final in which Souths were, again, raging hot favourites. No one could even imagine anything BUT a Souths win. Balmain had a team of average players and were given no chance whereas Souths had stars galore.
Balmain won that one 11 - 2. SO you can never say there is only 1 possibility in the NRL. Or any sport really. This was a major shock but it happens quite often.
I still cannot see where the Dogs can get the better of Souths, but at the prices I feel I must have a saver on them in a multiple or two.
I hate both teams actually so I don't really care which team wins. I'd prefer the Bunnies to continue waiting but what does it matter when my team is out?
Who do you fancy?
