You, I miss.

Hi there,

How you all doing?

Just gonna do a bit about the people you know that I miss.

Number one has to be Robin Williams. He was comedy. no dount at all bi polar magic. Even his dramtic movies had it all. He's my number one loss.

Brian Jones, real founder of the Rolling Stones. What did happen to Brian. We never found out but murder appears most likely and the finger must point at the ambitious Jagger or Richards in my view. We don't know.

Chrissie Amphlett was a huge loss to the Australian music scene. One of the few females who had balls, so to speak. Without her, no Divinyls, no magic.

Billy Thorpe of course. He was there where I awoke musically and he was there till not long ago. I mean, who else could sing ballads in an era of rock and roll and take them to Number ones? Thorpie. Great rock n roll too but his ballads really hit the spot. His whole backing band contributed big as well. Tony Barber for one, not the TV guy.

George Harrison of course but John Lennon was perhaps the biggest loss to my generation. He had miles to go before he slept.

My God, Buddy Holly, only had a brief career but look at what he created in that time with old time technology. He was the man and we lost him.

Robert Johnson. The creator of r 'n r in my book. Only operated from 1927 to 1939 and of course I never heard him until recent years. But what would he have done after he died young? The devil took him, you know that.

Janis Joplin. Not a great singer but had it spot on for rock/blues. such songs that live in my head forever. "Just another piece of my heart baby".

Bon Scott. Drank himself to death. And why not? Had a tme and a half and was the best when he depareted. Never quite replaced him but the Young boys, brothers of George Young from the Easybeats, made the band bigger than ever. But Bon, I miss. Went to the outdoor concert he and his group had near Adelaide back in 71.

Etta James, only recently gone too but one song of hers, "At last" is part of my soul, if I had one. What a song, and voice.

The Big O. Oh man, what a writew, player, singer. Prolific is too mild. Pity he had such a sad life but he gace us his best, always. Still "Crying".

Jimi, of course. Groundbreaking guitar player and song writer. Blasted his way to the top and left early too. Where would his music have gone?

I do not include Elvis as he was finished well before he left and Morrison as he was jut a ticking time bomb, in my view, not that talented at all. A drunk at best..

Mama Cass, not so much, but she WAS the Mamas and Papas. One sandwich was all it took. Someone should write that song. Could she sing or what? Tied the group together.

There are so many, I can't think of them all right now. See how you go and how many of mine you actually knew and heard.

I would put Dylan as number 2 but of course, he's still alive and kicking. For years to come I trust.
