Today's word is a spill is ON for Tuesday's meeting. And of course no one told Abbott.
But it's still on. The rest know their government is finished if Abbott stays. I'd actually rather he did stay and keep doing what he's been doing, as he says himself.
That is, fucking up everything he touches.
He rambles on about how much they've done already. Well, no. All they've done is destroy anything which was set up to combat Climate Change. Yes, he's destroyed all of that. Destroyed the renewables markets and projects.
Destroyed Australia's international reputation as a kind country by jailing refugees and torturing them beyond their ability to cope.
But what HAS HE DONE at all to help Australians? NOTHJING. Committed us to more war. Must he copy every fucking thing Howard did? Really, that's his game plan if he has one.
He says he's preparing a families package with emphasis on child care. Sure he is.
Does he not know the history of the taxpayer supporting or subsidising "working" families"?
Howard and Costelloe in his hammock, as Keating described him, created that form of welfare for the rich and middle class with the surfeit of tax dollars they got from the mining boom.
Trouble is, without that flow of tax dollars we cannot AFFORD to subsidise "working families" by paying their childcare.
The experience of every family prior to Howard was that if you had children, YOU PAID FOR THEM yourself. Not other taxpayers.
Why should we who paid for our own kids subsidise today's parents by paying for their childcare? We don't have the money. For fucks sake, end this garbage and let two parents decide which one works or arrange for relatives to raise their kids, as was done in the past.
Any subsidy for childcare is eaten up immediately by child care organisations. They simply raise their fees immediately to swallow ALL OF IT. So families are NO BETTER OFF at all. It's insane.
How much do parents pay for childcare today? I believe $100 a day is not unusual. That's $25,000 per year per child. And you and I are paying a large portion of that while Abbott wields the axe on the poor.
Get rid of this atrocity, get rid of negative gearing, means test EVERY single benefit and close the Superannuation rorts for the rich. Take away the subsidies for senior staff who get free cars, petrol and parking. Why should they get that when you and I find and pay for our own way to work? They shouldn't. All that money wasted on cars should be taken away and put into public transport.
And Abbott has also said they are building roads. WHERE? Name one. Please.
