Hi there y'all,
So you believe you live in a democracy huh? Why?
Generally the answer to that will be because you were told it was a democracy. By who? Fucking politicians of course. When do they ever lie? Every time they say something of course.
The definition of democracy is Government run BY the people, FOR the people. Is that what your government represents? If you do tell me why there is an Opposition who tells you different stories? If your country were being run as a democracy no Opposition could attack anything that was said or done as it was the people's choice. That never happens does it?
My contention is that mostly so called democracies are actually Oligarchies. What's an oligarchy? It is a form of government where those in charge are actually just a small group of people who govern the way THEY want, not what the people want at all. I further contend that in countries like Australia that small group of people are usually old, rich, white MEN..
Not only that but those men do NOT need to be actually elected at all yet they still hold the same level of power to have the government of the day do what THEY want.
Never have I seen a more certain proof of my thoughts than here in Australia, about two weeks ago
What happened was a smaller, but still big, miner, Twiggy Dunne, was agitating publicly for an investigation into the price of iron ore. His statement was that the biggest miners, BHP and Rio Tinto, were fixing the price to drive companies like Twiggy's out of business, leaving an open field for the big two.
Now, that suggestion from Twiggy got a lot of publicity and a lot of media time. So much that the two most powerful members of our actual government stated they too thought it should be looked into. On a Friday about two weeks ago our Prime Minister, Tony Abbott and our Treasurer, Joe Hockey Puck, both stated they thought such an inquiry should go ahead. They were both very clear about that.
Over that weekend we heard public statements from reps from both the big two companies stating that such an inquiry would be a waste of time as there was NO price fixing going on. They also said it would make Australia's customers from overseas laugh at us and maybe stop using our iron ore at all.
Lo and behold, come Monday after that and suddenly both Abbott and Hockey were saying no such inquiry would be held under them and that they refused to interfere with an open market.
Clear enough for you? The Oligarchies senior, non elected members had told them what not to do. And they obeyed.
Try and challenge that, it's fact.
