I obviously don't know what your relationship is like. Might be good, bad or indifferent.
There will always be times in your life when you are in the middle of a bad time in that relationship, maybe only for an hour or more. But one thing you'll know is that partners say the nastiest things to, and about each other at times.
I think it reveals their true feelings as when unrestrained, they go for your throat and then pretend it wasn't true at all.
Anyway here's a response to a particular things partners say when meeting someone.
You may be talking to someone who knows you and your partner comes up to you both and announces themselves by saying " Hello, I'm the better half".
Your response:
. "Darling, if I'm a half then we must be equal and there is NO better half. Logic demands this", or
. "I'm so glad that you assess me as a full half of our relationship. Else it would be pointless wouldn't it?"
Careful with those lines as they can cut the other half into pieces and they turn damned nasty. It could even lead to a split. Maybe that's what you want in which case you can be pleased at finding such an easy way out.
