There's a book just been published detailing what one reporter researched and revealed to all of us. It's about the downfall of previous Prime Minister, Tony Abbott.
It details the relationship between him and his female Chief of Staff. It doesn't say they were having an affair but it certainly makes it clear that is what nearly everyone in Parliament House thought. True or not, it doesn't matter. In politics it is always what is perceived rather than facts.
The things that made it pretty clear for me were that they had matching luggage!!!!!!!, they often ate together and she regularly offered him a taste of her meal, off her fork. There were also touchings which would be considered harassment by a non partner, such as giving her a gentle smack on the derriere.
Of course both have denied it and say it is just gossip.
Tellingly there is NO mention of law suits. Something that Mr Abbott has used before.
You make your minds up. I just wonder what the hell Mrs Abbott and their 3 adult daughters think of it. They still live together you see. Else it would be a nothing.
